Resumen

Objetivos
- Valorar los hallazgos por RM en las reacciones adversas a partículas metálicas (ARMD) en portadores de prótesis de cadera, una entidad que engloba los términos metalosis, pseudotumor o vasculitis linfocítica aséptica(ALVAL).
-Revisar las recomendaciones actuales establecidas por la Sociedad Española de Cirugía de Cadera(SECCA) para el seguimiento radiológico de pacientes postquirúrgicos "de riesgo", que evalúan tanto factores del paciente (mujeres, sobrepeso, prótesis bilaterales) como características del implante (prótesis de superficie, prótesis convencional con cabeza >36mm).

Material y métodos
Se revisan 10 casos de ARMD de cadera recogidos durante los años 2011-2016 en el Hospital Moisés Broggi. Se incluyen tanto portadores de prótesis de superficie, como artroplastias convencionales con par de fricción metal-metal.
Los estudios de RM se realizaron en un equipo de 1.5 Tesla (Philips), con el protocolo habitual para estudio de cadera post-artroplastia, que consiste en imágenes spin eco potenciadas en T1, T2 y STIR en planos transversal y coronal.
