Resumen

Objetivos Docentes
• Revisar e ilustrar los hallazgos por imagen de la carcinomatosis peritoneal.
• Revisar e ilustrar los hallazgos por imagen de otras patologías con afectación de la grasa peritoneal, neoplásicas y no neoplásicas.
• Mostrar la correlación radiopatológica de las patologías que afectan la grasa peritoneal.

INTRODUCCIÓN
La carcinomatosis peritoneal (CP) se define como la diseminación o extensión de un cáncer originado en algún órgano o víscera del abdomen a la cavidad peritoneal. Independientemente del origen, indica siempre un estadío avanzado de la enfermedad neoplásica de base, con muy mal pronóstico.
